The Cape Veterinary Clinic provides preventative and acute care for small animals (dogs, cats and small mammals). Reviewers repeatedly describe it as an independent practice (no corporate group is named in the available information). Based on both the website and recent reviews, the clinic seems set up for ongoing routine care as well as more involved medical work, with a noticeable emphasis on proactive follow-up—including owners describing vets calling to check in during recovery. Recent experiences also mention patient handling of nervous dogs during consultations, and practical admin support such as help with insurance claim forms.

I wanted to express my gratitude to Douglas and his team for looking after Finley over the last 5 years. Nothing is ever too much to ask, you genuinely care about his wellbeing, proactively calling to check up on him. I can wholeheartedly recommend Cape to everyone, 100%. Thanks Doug.

Despite registering with Cape Vets four years ago, my dog hadn't needed to be seen until the other week. Now I understand why a friend recommended Doug so highly! Because of a bad experience at a previous practice, my dog was very nervous, but Doug was patient, kind and empathetic towards her – by the end of the consultation she was even happy to follow him out of the room. This experience has now fully justified my move from a practice within walking distance to a far more understanding and independent practice five miles away!

Thank you so much to the whole team (front and back of house) for the most amazing care and customer service over the last couple of months. I’ve only recently moved to Surrey from Hampshire where I’d been with an incredible vet practice for the last 20 years. I was sad to leave them and didn’t expect to find equivalent over the county border, or to need their services so soon! Welcome Cape Vets who filled the void brilliantly! My usually fit and active 10yo cat, Malachi, got struck by a mystery illness and I really thought we’d reached the end of the road. Lead by Douglas (who’s kept in constant contact with ongoing advice during Mals’ recovery) the team of vets and nurses managed to get him back to full health. We met many of the reception team too who were always very welcoming and pro-active with query responses and insurance claim forms! Thank you so much - it’s so lovely to have found an independent vets who clearly have a great team, ethos, and most importantly care so much for their clients (4 and 2 leggers!). I’m so grateful to have my furry office assistant back by my side ☺️
