Hunters Lodge Veterinary Practice describes itself as an independent clinic. Based on its site and recent reviews, it appears set up for a mix of routine care (check-ups, vaccines, preventative care) and more urgent medical problems, with out-of-hours emergencies handled by Vets Now. Recent owners describe being seen at short notice for a cat bite, and one review details a vet identifying acute kidney failure and acting immediately with a plan, despite the pet being a new patient with limited history. The clinic also offers pet travel support, including completing an Export Health Certificate (described by a reviewer as possible because they are an “Official Vet”).

Update: I’ve been taking my 4 cats here for the past year. I can trust every single vet at this practice to do the right thing for my cats. As a vet student I’m very lucky and critical of my pets healthcare but with this practice I’ve been happy so far :) I brought my cat here today and Dr Stephens identified acute kidney failure and acted straight away. I really respect the fact she didn’t flinch and she came up with a plan for my cat. Some vets may have been overwhelmed by the situation of a new patient coming in with missing history but not this vet. She is a fantastic vet and her team are extraordinary in dealing with a really upsetting and life threatening issue. I dread to imagine what could have happened during the weekend to her if I had not taken her to Hunters Lodge.

Condescending staff. Badly trained receptionist. Exorbitant missed appointment fee. Unprofessional (refused to treat family members pet after I took my own business elsewhere where). I live locally and will travel for better care would suggest you do to. Your pet deserves better....edit the response from the practice is disengenuous..I paid for the appointment in advance,so no revenue was lost, the receptionist asked for £44 and I negotiated £22 which I paid

Excellent service! While I lived in Guildford they took care of my cat's checkup and vaccines. When we left UK they help us with all the paperwork and filled up the Export Health Certificate which we used to move our cat abroad smoothly. They are Official Vet so they can help you with transporting your pet anywhere in the world.
